Black Friday Deals: $2,000 off on Solar Generators from Leading Brands

Updated: Nov 23, 2023

Solar generators are new-age essentials for outdoor activities and home backup, these portable powerhouse are equipped with lithium-ion batteries, come in size from 200 watts to 7,600 watts, and can be simultaneously charged via solar panels, AC wall sockets, and gas generators.

Common Features of Solar Generators:

  • Solar generators can be used indoors because they produce no harmful gasses.

  • Most of the solar generators can be charged with an AC wall socket, Car DC port, other batteries, solar panels, and Gas generators.

  • Solar generators can be used while charging.

  • You can use both portable as well as conventional solar panels with solar generators. However portable solar panels are not rainproof (only splashproof) and cannot withstand heavy wind. Moreover, conventional panels require structure, which increases the total cost of the plant.

  • Most solar generators have dual charging options. You can charge them with solar panels + AC wall socket/Gas generator simultaneously.

  • You can't take solar generators on flight >> Learn more.

  • You can get up to 30% federal Tax credit on the purchase of a solar generator. >>Learn more about the benefits of Investing in Solar generators for House use.

If you want to SUPERCHARGE your life with these powerhouses then this BLACK FIRDAY is the perfect day of the year. On this Black Friday, you can save up to 50% on solar generators.

  • EP800 with 9,920 Wh of battery is the highest-rated solar generator and is currently $2000 less expensive. Its battery capacity can be extended up to 19,840 Wh, which is the highest in any class of solar generators.

  • AC500 with 3,072 Wh is the second highest-rated solar generator and is now on sale for $799 less than usual. Its battery capacity can be extended up to 18,432 Wh and it comes with 3000-wat solar input capacity.

  • EB3A is our top pick for the campaign, it is the perfect combo of lightweight, mobility, power, and affordability. Now it is available at $198, $100 less expensive than usual.

Jackery is the leading brand of solar generators and they manufacture some of the lightest and most powerful solar generators, which are suitable for both outdoor activities and home backup.

  • Jackery 2000 Plus is the overall best performer, it is also our top pick for the best solar generator in 2023, due to its lightweight, high PV, and AC input capacity which makes it the most suitable solar generator for both home backup and outdoor activities. It was launched at the price of $2199 and this Black Friday it is available at $1,659.

  • Jackery 300 plus is the perfect machine for solo campaigns, weighing only 3.75kg (8.27 lbs) and operating silently at 45dB, it's ideal for both outdoor and indoor use. It is available at $300.

Ecoflow’s Delta Pro is one of the most powerful solar generators, which is suitable for any situation. Eco Flow sold more than 150K Delta Pro worldwide, since its launch in 2021.

EcoFlow Delta Pro has the third-highest expandable backup capacity and second-highest AC inverter capacity. It comes with an inbuilt battery capacity of 3,600 Wh and the same can be expanded up to 10,800 Wh with two detachable batteries of a capacity of 3,600 Wh each. Its 3,600 W inverter capacity with a surge capacity of 7,200 W makes it ideal for running multiple heavy loads.

You can buy it at $2,499, which is $1,200 less than its usual price.

GROWATT is one of the top solar inverter manufacturing companies and its INFINITY 1300 is a 1,383 Wh capacity and 1,800 watt output solar generator, which is now available for $878, which is $421 less than its usual price.  It has an inbuilt LPF battery and solar input capacity of 800 watts.

Anker Powerhouse 767 has a battery capacity of 2,048 Wh and an output capacity of 2,400 watts. It has an LPF battery and a solar input capacity of 1,000 watts. Furthermore, it is now available at $600 less than its usual price.

How to choose the right solar generator?

To choose the right solar generator, we considered different factors like battery capacity, expandability of battery capacity, MPPT rating, Inverter rating, and Converter rating. Some of the factors are explained below.

Battery Type: Lithium batteries are used in solar generators to make them light in weight. Furthermore, most solar generators have two types of lithium batteries, that is LPF and NMC. NCM is one of the newest members of the lithium battery family. However, studies show that its performance is lower than LPF batteries.

Furthermore, Monago Power E is the only solar generator, that has a CATL LFP battery. CATL LFP batteries have 1.7 times more charge cycles than LPF batteries.

Also, LPF batteries have a 3.5 times higher charge cycle than NCM batteries. Here, one charge cycle is equal to the charging of the battery followed by 80% depth of discharge. Furthermore, an LPF battery has a charge cycle of 3500, NCM batteries have a charge cycle of 800 and CATL LFP batteries have a 6,000 charge cycle.

Battery Expandability: Your power requirements increase with time as new appliances are added to the daily routine. Hence, the backup capacity of a fixed-capacity solar generator won't be that useful.

However, the backup capacity of a solar generator with expandable battery capacity can be adjusted as per the load requirement.

Inverter Rating: The inverter capacity of a solar generator limits the number of appliances it can run simultaneously. However, a higher inverter rating also means more weight to carry.

For a campaign trip, we recommend you go with a lightweight solar generator for a less painful camping trip. However, low-weight solar generators have Litiuium-Ion NCM batteries, which are low on charge cycle.

Furthermore for home backup and off-grid living, you will require a minimum of 2000Watt solar generators.

AC Input [converter] Rating: To reduce the price of solar generators and keep the profit high. Some solar generator manufacturers reduce the electronic of AC Converter, Hence, their solar generators take more time to get charged. A fast-charged solar generator has more advantages than a slow-charged solar generator.

Solar generators with higher AC converter ratings get charged faster and will get ready for backup faster.

Numbers of ports: The minimum number of ports a solar generator must have depends upon the number of appliances you want to charge or run simultaneously.

  • For a campaign trip you won't require higher numbers of ports but to run a whole home or for power backup to your home, you will require more numbers of ports.

  • To run the whole house on the solar generator, you will require sufficient numbers of output ports with varieties so that all the required numbers of appliances can be run on it. Most solar generators with a capacity of 2000W and above have 12 to 18 number output ports.

  • We recommend at least 10 numbers output ports so that a maximum number of houses can be run simultaneously. Hence, any solar generator with output ports less than 10 is out of the list.

  • Always check the Ampere rating of the AC socket, most solar generators come with 15-20 Amp of power socket. However, if you need 25-30A power sockets, then check our blog on the best 30A solar generators for RV.

PV Input [MPPT] Rating:  A higher PV input rating means a longer backup time. FYI, 1 kW of solar panel can charge a 2,000 - 4,000 kWh battery in a day. Hence, we prefer solar generators with higher PV input ratings over lower PV input ratings.

Remember, the life span of a PV panel is 8 times more than the battery, and all solar generators can be discharged while charging. Hence, always choose higher solar input capacity over, battery capacity.
